OVERVIEW
This particular course is mainly based on hands on learning. The Agile Product Owner is a practical discipline; the best way to develop is to ‘learn-by-doing’. It is targeted towards those with previous Project Ownership experience and would like to progress to being a Product Manager. However, if you have no previous experience with product management, you can still take this course and get all the experience you need to get started as a Product Manager.It is 8 weeks training and after the sessions are complete then you would be placed on a real project as part of a team for 3-4months depending on the project. This way, it is not only what you learn in the classroom but what you do practically that counts towards your experience. This course is designed to help you understand the role of product owners and product managers in agile software development. Become skilled at defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.
TRAINING REQUISITE
This course is suitable for new productowners with little or no product management knowledge who would like to adopt a more structured approach to product ownership and to gain practical work experience
TRAINING FORMAT & SET UP
This training is formatted to see Product Owners(PO) being given a team comprising of Project managers, BA, PMO, Tester, Developer and a PSO. The PO will supervise and collaborate with the development team over a period of 8weeks in delivering the project they have been given using a combinationof product management principles and insights. Our CedExp platform will readily make available all the templates used in the project environment for the Product Managers, from Product Vision/Roadmap, Product/Market Fit Canvas, to Customer Journey Map Report,User Stories, to Backlog Grooming and Acceptance Criteria etc.
At the end of the training, the PO will be able to demonstrate, principles fordefining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team. The PM will also have had the full end to end delivery experience on a project which will now go into their CV as references for work they have delivered.
We will also ensure that the PM’s CV is well aligned with industry standards.
